Why we are here

The purposes of MP Radio

The aims & objects of the MP Radio are established for the promotion of any purpose for the benefit of any members of the community experiencing issues related to sexuality, gender, identity and diversity, including by focusing on:

Challenging transphobia, homophobia and heterosexism and acknowledging that they have a significant impact on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex & Non-Binary Gender people, including those questioning their sexuality and/or gender identity.

To promote equality and diversity across all communities for the public benefit and in particular the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity especially for those living in Medway and the surrounding areas in particular but not exclusively by:

1. Providing a community radio station and voice for the LGBTQIA+ community in particular and for all diverse communities of Medway and Kent and UK.  

• Raising awareness and educating the public about the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Pansexual, Asexual, Transgender, Non-binary Gender, Agender, Questioning & Queer, Gender Queer & Intersex (LGBTQQIA+) people.

• Cultivating a sentiment in favour of equality and diversity in particular through celebrating the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.

• providing funding and or grants and or donations to other charitable and voluntary organisations which support diversity and inclusion of LGBTQIA+ communities.
